Well done on rag week rehearsal, I really enjoyed it, thanks guys!

So this is what the next few weeks looks like…

March

Wed 10^th — rehearsal
Wed 17^th — Paddys day, no choir
Wed 24^th — Rehearsal
Wed 31^st — Rehearsal

April

Wed 7^th — no rehearsal, easter hols
Wed 14^th — Gig kil­cock (meet 5.30pm)
Wed 21^st — Gig Cherry Orch­ard (meet 5pm)
Wed 28^th — Rehearsal

May

Wed 5^th — Rehearsal/ end year gig
Fri 7^th — Sunday 9^th — Trip away!

Trip Away
So this trip away will be super dee dooper (www.gospelrising.com). The com­mit­tee are meet­ing on Wed to dis­cuss how we can lower the costs of the trip, but at the moment the cost for the trip away will be €85 per per­son. This cov­ers everything from work­shops to accom­mod­a­tion to shows to gigs to the whole lot. It does not include food (apart from break­fast) or travel, but car pools will sort the trans­port and food shouldnt be too bad. We can have a fund raiser and lower costs that way, we will come back to you about this on wed­nes­day. Per­haps busk­ing would be the answer! If we get a decent amount in this should lower costs by €10-€15 per per­son — will let u know asap about this. We are also going to apply for a spe­cial events fund from the union, will keep ye updated. Am just let­ting you know the max­imum cost, but it shouldn’t work out this much. We will need num­bers for this as soon as is pos­sible as the organ­isers need num­bers. I can also tell ye off the record that Jack L is com­ing to the fest­ival to do a work­shop with the people there, this will be a great way to end the wknd on the sunday! We will be stay­ing in a hostel in Ennis and the sooner we get a book­ing in the cheaper it will be, so again I need num­bers people. We will talk to you about this on Wed any­way, but have a think about it before then so that we can have an idea of who is com­ing on wed­nes­day night.
